Wayne State University College of Education & Michigan Education Association

Teaching career exploration, lesson planning, and classroom observation skills. Two-week residential summer program for Detroit-area high school students exploring teaching careers. Students live on campus, earn a $1,000 stipend, and complete teaching projects with mentorship from WSU faculty.

Louisiana Aspiring Educator Summer Academy

Louisiana Department of Education & LSU

Education leadership skills and future-educator professional development. Free weeklong residential summer camp and professional learning experience for up to 100 aspiring educators from Louisiana. Students live in campus housing and build leadership skills with coaches from across the state.

Flight Path to Teaching Adventure

Ball State University Teachers College

Design and teach literacy or STEM lessons to children ages 3-12. Free residential summer camp where rising juniors/seniors live on the Ball State campus and serve as apprentice teachers at a local summer learning program, designing and teaching their own lessons.

TU Teacher Scholars Summer Institute

Towson University College of Education

Careers in education with university credit for Exploring Careers in Education. Free four-day on-campus academic session where aspiring educators learn from College of Education professors, earn university credit, and experience campus life at Towson University.

College Access Program in Education (CAPE)

College readiness and exploration of education and health profession majors. Free two-week residential college experience for rising seniors, offering a two-credit college course exploring careers in education and health, with free credits and college prep support.

JMC Academy for Civic Education

James Madison College, Michigan State University

College-level seminars on American democracy and civic education. Fully free two-week residential seminar for 20-25 Michigan rising seniors, exploring American democracy through small-group discussions of primary texts with JMC faculty, including travel stipends.
